Required Field Settings [KANNA Report]

Feature Overview

This feature allows you to mark input fields in KANNA Reports as “required,” so users are notified when there are unfilled fields.

When a required field is left empty, the system will indicate that the field has not been completed if the user tries to finish editing the field or proceeds to submit an approval request. This helps prevent missing required information.

This feature only notifies the user. Reports can still be saved even if required fields are not filled in. Similarly, users can proceed to submit an approval request even when required fields remain incomplete.

How to Set Required Fields

Required field settings can be configured on the Input Field Settings screen within the Custom Report settings.

At the bottom of the Input Field Settings view, turn ON the Required option.

↓ After enabling the setting, the field will be displayed as a required field.

Required field settings are available for almost all input types
(except for “Linked Project Information”).

Display on the Report Creation Screen

Cells with required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
When a required field is empty, the cell is highlighted in red. Once the input is completed, the color changes to green.

↓ After entering a value, the cell turns green.

Notes for the “Dropdown” and “Checkbox” input types

・Dropdown: If no option is selected (not set), the field is considered incomplete.

Checkbox: If the checkbox is turned off, the field is considered incomplete.

Even if not all required fields are completed, users can still save the entered content and close the Custom Report, or proceed to submit an approval request.

However, if these actions are performed while required fields remain incomplete, a confirmation dialog will be displayed to inform the user that there are required fields that have not been filled in.
