This article explains the differences between customization settings for master information and customization settings for project templates.

How to change master items for Project/Client/Property information

Effective range of each setting
The changes in items in the master information will be reflected in all the templates in which these items exist.
On the other hand, the changes in items in the project template will be only reflected in that project template
Master information customization
In the master information settings, you can set the display of existing items and add/delete new items related to projects/clients/properties.
*When you edit existing items in the master information settings, the change will be reflected in all the project templates to which the item has been added.

In this example, we explain how to hide "Project Management ID" in the master information settings.
1. Click "Project Master Setting" and then click "Project info"
2. Click the green tab to turn the item invalid
"Project Management ID" in all the project templates will be invalid.
In this case, "Project Management ID" item became invalid. This change is reflected in all the project templates that have "Project info" section so "Project Management ID" will not be shown anymore in these templates.
3. The "Project Management ID" is hidden in the project templates that have "Project info" section.

Add/delete items
To add an item, click on "Create New Section". To delete an item, click on "Delete Section" from the "..." to the right of the name of the item you wish to delete.

When you create a new item from "Create New Section" in the Project master setting, the new item will appear hidden in all project templates. If you want to use the new item, click on the item name and change it from "Hide" to "Show" in the upper right corner.
Also, when you delete the item/section, it will be deleted from all templates.
Project template customization
This setting will only apply to the project template to which you made the changes.
In the following cases, the change to hide will only be applied to projects that use this project template.
1. Change the item "Project Management ID" from "Show" to "Hide"
2. The item will be hidden in the projects that use this project template.
The item will be hidden in the projects that use this project template.
"Project Management ID" will not be displayed anymore. It will still be displayed in the projects that use other templates.
